The LW6 is being developed for more permanent installations, higher-duty cycles, and heavier impacts – up to 600 kJ. It is still capable of rapid installation & re-location, quick activation, fast replacement, and many of the other benefits common to the LW-series.

Engineered to absorb up to 600 kJ of impact energy and arrest a 1.3 tonne vehicle traveling at 110 kph, which equates to a:

• 3.2 tonne vehicle travelling at 70 kph • 8 tonne vehicle travelling at 44 kph • 24 tonne vehicle travelling at 25 kph Folding Block technology is currently endorsed by ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organisation) T4 Protective Security Group, for the Australian Security Construction & Equipment Committee (SCEC) catalogue, and approved for use at federal government sites. The AVS-elli LW6 barrier - which is a heavier-duty version of the LW4 – is yet to be formally rated.
